The Best Worst Super Bowl Foods

When I became a home page producer, I stopped writing news articles, unless a story popped up involving swim suits, Michael Phelps or food.

About half a dozen people have written me about the Bacon Explosion as first featured in The New York Times on Wednesday. Two days later it continues to be their no. 1 most-emailed story. When we discussed the pork monstrosity at our editorial meeting yesterday, and how we could turn it into a fun Super Bowl foods story, I jumped at the chance.
