Cafe Loup

On a rainy day in the village we were desperate for food and found this French place...just don't write home about it. How can a French cafe survive without French onion soup-what each of us needed on a cold rainy day ...We ate at 3pm, so I guess you can say we were lucky they served us...but clearly nobody really wanted us to be there. Between 2 and 4 seems to be the only time restaurants really get a break. We went with burgers, a salad nicoise which was actually really good, an omelette, and a side of fries, which were a highlight along with the vino. The place was dead, maybe we just caught it on an off-hour/off-day, and I imagine dinner might be better. But with so many other options in the city we won't be hurrying back...
